So you are tired of your discord channel, or you decide to pay someone to manage it for you and you’re trying to figure out how to transfer ownership of a discord server.

 

In some cases, I’ve seen a few people sell off their discord channel for a good price.

How To Transfer Ownership of a discord server mobile

 

To transfer discord server ownership follow the steps below:

 

  • Open Your Server Settings Tab

 

  • Under User Management, Tap on the Members Section

 

  • Place your mouse over the Member’s name, and click on the hamburger (3 dots) by the side, a new menu appears, click on Transfer Ownership in the new menu.

 

What if The Owner Has Died or has been inactive for a very long time?

 

So sorry, if that’s the case (sorry for the loss)

 

But if the owner has died, you can still get the ownership transferred, I Quote Discord on Twitter:

 

“If the current owner has been inactive for 30 days you can put in a request to transfer ownership of the server. Just email support@discordapp.com for help!”

What if the admin, is going to be inactive and just needs someone to manage the Server:

If you’re the admin, and you’re probably going for a vacation, then you should simply grant all admin permission to the  user you want to be an admin for the short while: you can check it out here 

 

But if you really trust this person very well, and you know he won’t play you dirty, go ahead and transfer ownership, but I actually don’t recommend this.

 

If you take the action above, make sure that when you return the server is transferred back to you as the owner.

 

What if I’m selling off the discord server and transferring ownership: 

 

If you are selling off the server, you have to first of all Receive payment, first, this is the most important thing, and I can’t stress this Enough.

 

If you don’t want to get scammed receive payment then transfer the Ownership to the individual.

Discord server Owner Banned:

 

If you are worried about what to do if the the discord owner is banned, I’ll recommend You do the following:

 

  • Wait for 30 days if the ban is reverted.

 

  • If the ban isn’t reverted, then a member of the group (Usually voted to be the new owner) should request transfer of ownership from discord.

Well, sorry to say, you can only have ONE real owner on a discord channel, so there is no official way to make someone Co-owner on Discord channel.

 

But you know there are always hacks and tricks to getting around stuff like this

Simply make the person an administrator on your discord Server, Easy Pizzy!

 

The owner and Admin has quite the same function.
