The Honor Play- Built for Gamers?

The porpularly known chinese Brand has released an amazing device for gamers, with it’s new play model which was released in India yesterday and Happily in Malaysia Today.

The company is hoping on winning the hearts of Mobile gamers who are on a budget, they plan to make it indistinguishable from other handset and amazingly it is also Notched.

My brief time with the Honor play made me feel I was using Huwaei P20 pro. So we can say you are getting The Huwaei P20 pro but excuding the Leica camera and 2gb ram less. For just $291.

Convinently using this device which comes with Android 8.1 and the Huwaei EMUI version 8.2 skin makes it fast and a better navigation system.

In the Malaysian version there’s a fair amount of Bloat-wares and some games, you probably won’t like to play. Honor actually teamed up with Tencent Games to optimize the device for the popular Battle Royale-style game, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) , but that didn’t come pre-installed.

According to them; other recent graphics demanding games ran smoothly and there were less Problems on it. That’s pretty good.

The Device camera is quite fair but not as impressive. It has 16mp+2mp at the back but I was dissapointed when it didn’t pick up shades of Light from a picture of 2 apples… Take a look at it below.

The 16mp front shotter did some work but not awesomely, as it didn’t capture much details in a surrounding with much light. While I took the first picture it was like there was a beautifying effects on my face but it was not On at all.

Another good news is the fact that it supports fast Charging as it has USB type C, comes with 3.5mm Audio Jack and Dual sim.

At this point, I can say that the Honor Play has a lot going for it at its price, regardless of whether you want to use it to frag baddies or browse Instagram all day – but it’s not the best device a gamer can buy right now.
